Yugioh Fire Trooper question?

When it's summoned, you can send it to the graveyard to deal 1000 damage to your opponent. That effect can only be activated when it's summoned. You sending it to the graveyard i think it's a cost. Anyway, if you send it to the graveyard by tributing or doing anything else, that effect won't activate. To deal your opponent with1000 damage you have to send it to the grave with it's own effect and nothing else. When you summon it, just send it to the graveyard to use it's effect. That's the only way to use the effect.
