HELP, I'M BEING EVICTED / PHYSICALLY ABUSED!! LAW BUFFS, ANY1, HELP ME PLS?

Hi, SO, if you want to handle it the right way, revenge is out of the question. NOW, IF the paper on the door was an eviction notice, you do not have to pay any atention to it until the sheriff comes and serves you with a legal eviction. That eviction will have a court date on it where you will have the opportunity to present your side of the story. Your Mother does not have to sign any 'note' regarding eviction. It is only a notice. You have little to worry about here. When the managers get back, if they are even gone, talk to them and find out what the problem is if there is a problem. It usually takes up to three months for a landlord to actually get you evicted. The 'note' on the door has absoutely no legal basis. To prove domestic violence, you do not have to have noticable injuries. You only have to prove a patttern of abuse. Don't call thehotline...that's useless. Make an appointment with the Domestic Violence project in your area and talk to an advocate. They will help you. Yes, I'd say it was very fishy. Call her bluff! JOSA
