Why would you want 1,000 partners?

Why would anyone wish to have with as many people as they can without settling down with any one of them? After a few dozen partners you should realize that its not really any different with any other person? A supermodel with an awesome perfect body will typically have a similar body as the next supermodel so why is it that some people will want to have with so many people? Why not just have one steady relationship and be content knowing you have that one person every night sleeping next to you? I just dont get this and would like an opinion from a bachelor or the liberated woman we commonly refer to as "sl*ts".
