Help with y&r ?

i have a friend who wants to get into watching it but every time she does she has so many questions she cant follow it. can anyone serioulsy write a paragraph on everything she needs to know to follow what happens on the show ( you dont have to explain from the very beggining, just whats happening now) ex: gloria tainted a face cream to get back at the abbots which was blamed on jack who cant go near jabot so thats why she's in jail. like that explanation but for everything
