In the time of Macbeth could there be pictures in picture frames?

It's not an anachronism they might be a bit more ornate than the ones we're used to. One source said that the earliest picture frame was found in Egypt, Shakespeare's quite later than that, so I'm sure you're fine. And there was an influx in the Renaissance, also before Shakespeare.
