Can someone provide some encouragement?

I was really looking to submit a few written works for an prize consideration at my college, but unfortunately I got caught up worrying about midterms and other things I had to take care of. The deadline is tonight. I'm sitting in a computer lab on campus now trying to come up with the inspiration to finish one of the pieces I was working on, even though I'd left some of the notes I was making at home. I've had professors tell me I write really well and I was hoping this would be my chance to garner some acclaim for myself and maybe boost my confidence. I really feel like just giving up right now. Whatever I manage to turn in probably won't be my best even if I manage to finish something. =(
